Kids Rule at Riverbanks Zoo - what to do when animals are napping!

Posted By ShoutCarolina,Date: 09.16.2008

So you’ve just missed (another) training show…all animals you wanted to see are either napping or out of sight…crowds are everywhere and you can’t see anything…kids are too tired to walk the exhibits and keep “blackmailing” you to carry them over….

Sounds familiar?

Hey Kitty, Kitty! Prrrfect fun at Riverbanks Zoo

Relax! There is still plenty of fun and mostly FREE things to do at the Zoo (and best of all children go nuts for it):

• Climbing the sculptures spread throughout the park…if nothing else you get some “Kodak moments”

• Sliding and running around at the fan-cooled and tree-shaded playground

• Getting dizzy (you) and “saving” the baby animals Diego-style (them) at the Merry Go Around

• Milking the cow and feeding naughty goats at the Farm Animals (this never gets old!). By the way don’t spend your change on the food just pick up the stuff laying around all over the place… the goats will not care.

• Riding the miniature train, the Spots and Stripes Railroad ($2), and the cute ponies ($5)

Kids voted with their little feet, hands and even chins!

Rain or shine the fun is divine at the Columbia Zoo!
