Posted By ShoutCarolina,Date: 01.12.2009

Who says winter is boring in the Palmetto State? Come to EdVenture, the best children museum in the South to play hockey, ride a snow mobile, dance with Happy Feet, build an igloo, pet a Polar Bear…want me to go on? OK, it’s all pretend…but the kids don’t care! They have a blast and so should you.

Check out these pictures from last Saturday. The Snowville exhibit it’s open daily through March 1st. There is also a wacky winter science show every day at 2PM.

Let’s build an igloo! Did you know snow is a natural insulator trapping heat inside? No wonder they build houses from ice at the North Pole.

What happened to all the other exhibits? bubbles, chagall etc?

Chagall for children was a traveling exhibit. We loved it. Not sure about the bubble machines outdoors….maybe because of the winter they’re out. I know the toddler playground outdoor is closed for renovations.
