Reach for the stars at Ingram Planetarium! Sunset Beach fun things to do

You know you scored big when you hear the kids shout “Let’s do it again! Let’s do it again!” Gotta admit it’s pretty fun shooting water and race the little astronauts. Parents, grandparents and all young at heart compete for stardom…no one can resist the sweet temptation.
The Planetarium provides cool astronomy programs and laser shows in a 85 seat Sky Theater. Soon it will go digital so get ready to rock and roll!
Ingram Planetarium is open Friday and Saturday from 12:30 to 5PM. Admission is $8 adult, $6 seniors (over 60), $6 students, $4 preschool kids age 3-5 and Free for kids age 2 and Under. The Sky Theater shows last about 40 minutes start at 1, 2, 3 and 4PM as following:
• 1PM “Our Place in Space” - Best for young children. Scarlet the macaw solves sky crossword puzzle. Learn about the Sun and planets and how to draw your own constellations!
• 2PM “Ancient Horizons” - Best for children 9 years and older. Learn the complex sociecty of ancient Egyptians.
• 3PM “Legends in the Night Sky” - All ages. Learn the story of Orion the most famous winter constellation and enjoy a fantastic laser show.
• 4PM “Sunset Skies” - Best for children 8 years and older. Find out how tell the constellations in the sky theater. Learn interesting astronomy tricks and trivia.
