What children love to do at Charles Town Landing in North Charleston

There are many fun and educational activities to enjoy for a nominal $5 park admission fee ($3 for kids 6-15 and free those 5 years and under).
Five little monkeys swinging from the tree… There’s nothing like a nice tree climb! The historic trail is peppered with all kind of oak tree delights. This one is conveniently located in front of the shuttle stop and rest area.
The zenith of our historic trail walk came onboard The Adventure, a 17th century kelch replica used for trading with the Keowee tribes along the Carolina Coast.
Ready to set sail? First try your sea legs at the incredible Adventure exhibit and see if you have what it takes to be a sailor.
Everybody is instantly drawn to the settlers “public punishment” area featuring Pillory and Stocks. How’s this for a Kodak moment?
Think you can survive in the 1600s? Prove it at the Indentured Servants Quarters: swipe the floors, cook dinner, sew clothes and dry up the skins.
Conclude your journey back in history with a tour of the Animal Forest Zoo featuring native animals in the 17th century: bison, otter, puma, black bears and elk.
Mark your calendar! Living history demonstrations and cannons firing are featured the 3rd Saturday of every month from March to November.
