I’m a rock star! What kids love to do downtown Greenville

Posted By ShoutCarolina,Date: 10.19.2009

The wait is over. The Greenville Children Museum is the new kid on the Southeast block where every one can be a pop, rock or Formula One star!

The museum is open daily 9AM to 5PM (1 to 5PM on Sunday). Admission is $12 (go November 19 and December 17 enjoy $2 for two admission from 5 to 7PM). Park for free in the weekend at the lot behind the museum and the theater.

Walt Disney here I come…How do you feel about making your own cartoon? You bet you can, just go to the children museum!

Grocery shopping never felt better. There is a nutrition-talking fridge, cooking lessons on big screen TVs, real scanning and checkout machines and aisle after aisle of goodies.

Oh yeah, you can even create your own wedding cake! Pat a cake, Pat a cake…

Danica Patric move over!
There’s a new Formula One star in town. This is by far the coolest and most realistic video game you can play for free in a museum.

The only problem is everybody wants a piece of the action…so be patient, you’ll get your turn.

Boys move over! Formula One has a new star!

What aches? The doctor is in at Teddy Bear Clinic where everyone is admitted and treated for free, insurance or not. OK, it’s all pretend.

Just don’t tell it to all the animals (and even the skeleton) in the waiting room…

The doctor is in so bring your pets and aches

Motion, commotion! Learn Newton’ laws up close and personal in the most airy chair downtown.

There’s a construction boom in Greenville! Well, for kids at least. Put on your hard-hat and all the cool work gear and get moving:

Drive bulldozers, control a huge crane, build a dome and more!

I am driving a bulldozer mom!

Let the fun begin at the Greenville Children Museum!
