A relaxing family walk at Falls Park, Greenville free fun things to do with kids
Posted By ShoutCarolina,Date: 06.16.2011We love coming to Greenville! Recently we spent a fun day strolling along Reedy River, hunting for cute mice statues and cooling off at the splash area downtown.
This is cool mom, you should try it (…and I did)! This urban waterfall is located behind Hampton Inn off Main Street right before the entrance to Falls Park.
Liberty Bridge is the city’s most significant landmark and provides amazing panoramic views of the 60 feet waterfalls and the river park.
Kids of all ages love to wade in the river. There are benches, swings, shady spots, lush greens and beautiful flowers all around. Animated ducks and geese looking for a snack only add to the charm.
Dogs can have fun too in the shallow area, informally dedicated as a “four legged fur friendly” zone.
All she wanted was to find the 9 mice statues, aka “Mice on Main” scavenger hunt, based on characters from the Goodnight Moon children story. You can get directions from hotels, visitors center, restaurants or you can download a cheat sheet here.
