Last weekend we escaped the heat (and the TV trap) by going to Monkey Joe’s in Columbia, just off Clemson Road and I-20. Admission is $7.99 for children 2-12, $5 for playing children under 2 and free for accompanying adults.

During Thanksgiving holiday weekend, my daughter and I spent a delightful afternoon inside the picturesque Cheraw State Park (one of the largest in South Carolina), located minutes from the historic downtown. What a Halloween blast at EdVenture!
The inaugural “Beakers and Broomsticks” Halloween party rocked the house! For only $7 kids enjoyed pumpkin smashing, slime, glow bugs, fake eyeballs, laser fights, light graffiti, Frankenstein microscope, dancing, treats, costume contests and… full access to the museum!
The highlight of the party…blasting pumpkins from the roof!
