During Thanksgiving holiday weekend, my daughter and I spent a delightful afternoon inside the picturesque Cheraw State Park (one of the largest in South Carolina), located minutes from the historic downtown. Admission is free. The park is open year around 7AM to 6PM (9PM in the summer). Office hours are 11AM-5PM daily.

What a Halloween blast at EdVenture!
The inaugural “Beakers and Broomsticks” Halloween party rocked the house! For only $7 kids enjoyed pumpkin smashing, slime, glow bugs, fake eyeballs, laser fights, light graffiti, Frankenstein microscope, dancing, treats, costume contests and… full access to the museum!
The highlight of the party…blasting pumpkins from the roof!

I visited it last week with my daughter to see Unearth, A Celebration of Naturally Inspired Art.
