Recently my daughter and I returned to Alligator Adventure zoo park at Barefoot Landing. Although the place is still a top Myrtle Beach family attraction, I was less impressed. The 3rd time proved not a lucky charm…

It’s amazing what a cool playground can do. Just hours after being stung (three times!) by a hornet at Middleton Place, my 5 years old forgot all about it once inside Summerville’s Gahagan Park.

My daughter and I visited Middleton Place on Easter Sunday. This marked the beginning of our super fun Spring Break adventure in and around Charleston.
Two hours, $25 (free for kids 6 and under) and 3 hornet stings later (my daughter’s accomplishment for the day!) we toured most of the grounds.
