A wild world at our fingertips, amazing backyard animal encouters

Posted By ShoutCarolina,Date: 05.07.2012

Every week we get a “friendly” visit from our furry, scaly or feathery neighbors: deer, rabbits, racoons, opossums, snakes (non venomous thank God!), foxes, turtles, turkeys, geese, and [...]

This year I revisited my favorite beast, Utan the King of Crocs and most famous VIP of the Alligator Adventure zoo in North Myrtle Beach.

The one ton, 20 foot long crocodile continues to captivate visitors without moving a finger! He lets his monster teeth do the talking.

I’m always fascinated by his alien scruff tough looking [...]

Recently my daughter and I returned to Alligator Adventure zoo park at Barefoot Landing. Although the place is still a top Myrtle Beach family attraction, I was less impressed. The 3rd time proved not a lucky charm…

My favorite is the elephant exhibit, a relative pachyderm paradise. Although is not the wild African [...]
