Beautiful South Carolina

Cute fawn near the apple tree in our backyard

A wild world at our fingertips, amazing backyard animal encouters

Posted By ShoutCarolina,Date: 05.07.2012

Every week we get a “friendly” visit from our furry, scaly or feathery neighbors: deer, rabbits, racoons, opossums, snakes (non venomous thank God!), foxes, turtles, turkeys, geese, and [...]

Give me Sugar! Ski School that is…most popular family winter resort in the Southeast

Posted By ShoutCarolina,Date: 03.16.2012

For the last three years my daughter and I embarked on a spring break getaway to the Sugar Mountain Ski resort in Banner Elk, NC.

We love the Sugar Bear Ski School. The prices are reasonable (especially during “march madness” when everything is ~20% off), the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, and the trails are [...]

Watching dolphins put on a show, North Myrtle Beach free, wild family attractions

Posted By ShoutCarolina,Date: 12.20.2011

I’m amazed every time I see wild dolphins swim freely by the shore, just like nature intended… This time I was fortunate to watch a pair of dolphins performing big synchronized jumps while swimming in tandem. What a spectacular show! And it was all free, watching from our oceanfront balconies by the Cherry Grove Pier.

My favorite South Carolina beach is Cherry Grove, minutes from North Myrtle Beach yet far from the hustle and bustle of the Grand Strand. We’ve vacationed here for 3 winters in a row now, and every time it gets better and better. We are so blessed with our own paradise right in our state’s backyard!

What a Halloween blast at EdVenture!

The inaugural “Beakers and Broomsticks” Halloween party rocked the house! For only $7 kids enjoyed pumpkin smashing, slime, glow bugs, fake eyeballs, laser fights, light graffiti, Frankenstein microscope, dancing, treats, costume contests and… full access to the museum!
The highlight of the party…blasting pumpkins from the roof!

More fun!
